Please note, this form is for events of a creative or cultural nature in the central rooms at Joynton Avenue Creative Centre. These spaces are designed for creative classes, meetings, rehearsals, workshops or exhibitions.

The event room is available for private meetings and workshops. Bookings for private functions, birthday parties, fitness classes or similar can be made in other City of Sydney venues.

Available booking hours:

Monday to Friday: 7am to 10pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 9pm

Community groups can apply to have 100% of the venue hire and insurance fees waived for community spaces. Check if you are eligible to apply.

The City of Sydney reserves the right to request proof of eligibility for community rate applications. Failure to present requested proof will result in standard fee rates being applied.

Indoor and outdoor classroom and kitchen, 1 to 5 artists or creatives:

weekdays – $30 per hour, $120 per day weeknights, weekends, public holidays – $40 per hour, $160 per day.

Indoor and outdoor classroom and kitchen, more than 5 artists or creatives/community groups/not-for-profits:

weekdays – $60 per hour, $240 p/d weeknights, weekends, public Holidays – $80 per hour, $320 per day.

Indoor and outdoor classroom and kitchen, commercial hire:

weekdays – $120 per hour, $1,260 per day weeknights, weekends, public holidays: $420 per hour, $2,520 per day.

Archways gathering space, 1 to 5 artists or creatives:

weekdays – $20 per hour, $90 per day weeknights, weekends, public holidays – $30 per hour, $120 per day.

Archways gathering space, more than 5 artists or creatives/community groups/not-for-profits:

weekdays – $40 per hour, $140 per day weeknights, weekends, public holidays – $60 per hour, $220 per day.

Archways gathering space, commercial hire:

weekdays – $140 per hour, $660 per day weeknights, weekends, public holidays – $220 per hour, $1,520 per day.

Gathering space, kitchen and balcony, 1 to 5 artists or creatives:

weekdays – $30 per hour, $120 per day weeknights, weekends, public holidays – $40 per hour, $160 per day.

Gathering space, kitchen and balcony, more than 5 artists or creatives/community groups/not-for-profits:

weekdays – $60 per hour, $240 per day weeknights, weekends, public holidays – $80 per hour, $320 per day.

Gathering space, kitchen and balcony, commercial hire:

weekdays – $210 per hour, $1,260 per day weeknights, weekends, public holidays – $420 per hour, $2,520 per day.

Hire fees are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled within 5 business days before the booking date. The hirer must advise us in writing of any changes or cancellations by email at jacc@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

For all bookings, hirers are required to obtain $10 million public liability insurance coverage. Proof of such coverage will be required before your booking can be confirmed.

Individuals and small community groups that do not have public liability insurance may be eligible to apply for cover under the City of Sydney's community engagement liability policy at the following rates:

• one off hirers will be charged the 10% fee per booking
• recurring hirers will be charged annually.

Hirers must apply for each booking or series of bookings made. The maximum period of cover is 12 months per application.
