    Composers must provide the following information:

    • Details of previous creative collaborations 
    • Names, roles and experience of any key creative staff previously engaged

  • Insurance

    The composer must hold the following before entering into a contract with the City of Sydney: 

    • Workers compensation / personal accident insurance 
    • Public liability – minimum required $10m per incident 
    • Professional indemnity – minimum required $1m per incident, includes coverage for copyright infringement including legal costs and damages, with worldwide coverage. 

    The composer must ensure any sub-contractors hold and maintain equivalent insurances. 

  • Project fee

    The City of Sydney can’t accept any quote greater than $65,000 excluding GST. In the interest of using public funds, the City of Sydney strongly encourages composers to provide value for money. 

  • Creative approach

    Describe your creative approach when developing commissioned music. The overview should include the themes or stories you have previously created, examples of preferred music styles, samples of your existing music (if applicable) and any other relevant information to support your creative approach.

    Please include samples of previous projects and attach supporting materials where applicable.

    • If you answer “No” to the above question please provide a full statement of all
      amendments sought, giving reasons, in the table below. These MUST be submitted to
      the City for consideration no later than 5 business days prior to the Closing Date of
      the EOI, however it is important to note these amendments are not deemed to have
      been accepted by the City unless specifically agreed in writing prior to the EOI Closing
      Date/Time.

      If any changes are accepted (whether wholly or in part), the amended contract will be
      published as an addendum for all potential bidders on the EOI webpage on the City
      website.

      Intended recipients: City of Sydney employees.

      Supply: The supply of this information is voluntary. If you are unwilling to provide this information, the City of Sydney may be unable to provide access to City of Sydney services.

      Storage: The Major Events team at the City of Sydney, located at 456 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000, is collecting this information and the City of Sydney will store it securely.
