Sydney Lunar Festival - Horse drawing call out

Year of the Horse drawing call out – Sydney Lunar Festival 2026

We’re inviting budding young illustrators aged 5 to 12 years to enter their best horse drawings to be showcased as part of the Sydney Lunar Festival.
Drawing requirements:
- The horse drawing must be drawn in portrait orientation. A3 paper is preferred but A4 is acceptable. Make your illustration as large as possible.
- Background colours or details aren’t required. We’re looking for horse illustrations only.
- Entries can be drawn with any medium including pencils, paint, crayons, or electronically, for example, Adobe Illustrator.
- Submissions must be your own original artwork. You must not use artificial intelligence platforms, known as Generative AI, to create or develop the artwork.
And remember:
- The illustrations must stand out and be recognisable from a distance.
- Selected illustrations may be displayed outdoors, and printed on t-shirts and stickers.
