  • Community groups can apply to have 100% of the venue hire and insurance fees waived for community spaces. Check if you are eligible to apply.
  • 119 Redfern Street reserves the right to request proof of eligibility for community rate applications. Failure to present requested proof will result in the application of standard fee rates.

  • Fees and charges 

    • Multipurpose space: $50 Standard rate per hour / $15 Community rate per hour / $295 full day rate

    • Performance space: $50 Standard rate per hour / $15 Community rate per hour / $295 full day rate

    • Tea room: $50 Standard rate per hour / $15 Community rate per hour / $295 full day rate

    • Family history research room: $50 Standard rate per hour / $15 Community rate per hour / $295 full day rate

     

  • Cancellations

  • Hire fees are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled within 5 business days prior to booking date. The hirer must advise the centre in writing of any changes or cancellations, please email us at 119RedfernStreet@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

  • Public liability insurance

  • For all bookings, hirers are required to obtain $10 million public liability insurance coverage. Proof of such coverage will be required before your booking can be confirmed.

    Individuals and small community groups that do not have public liability insurance may be eligible to apply for cover under the City of Sydney's community engagement liability policy at the following rates:

    • One off hirers will be charged the 10% fee per booking.
    • Recurring hirers will be charged annually.

    Hirers must apply for each booking or series of bookings made. The maximum period of cover is 12 months per application.
