Purpose of collection: Purpose of collection: This information is being collected for the purpose of administering a waitlist application for a position at City of Sydney’s Education and Care Services.
Intended recipients: City of Sydney employees are the intended recipients. If required, we may share this information with the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment, Services Australia, NSW Department of Education, NSW Department of Communities and Justice.
Supply: The supply of this information is voluntary. If you are unwilling to provide this information, the City of Sydney will be unable to process your waitlist application.
Access/Correction: Please contact your child’s service or Customer Service on 02 9265 9333 or at council@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au to access or correct your personal information.
Storage: The Education and Care Services section at the City of Sydney, located at 456 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000, is collecting this information and the City of Sydney will store it securely.
Other uses: The City of Sydney will use this information for the purpose for which it was collected and directly related purposes which may include:

• Contacting you regarding your application or offer a position at the City of Sydney’s Education and Care Services.
• Sending you information on related topics, services, or events.

Care and Protection Act 1998

The City is a prescribed body under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection Act) 1998. In circumstances where a staff member suspects that a child may be at risk of significant harm, the City can exchange information that relates to a child’s or young person’s safety, welfare or wellbeing with other prescribed bodies. This exchange of information can occur whether or not consent is granted.
