  • If you’re a building manager or strata manager in the City of Sydney, you can apply for help to improve recycling in your apartment building with our Recycle Helper Service.

    A waste education officer will be in touch within 1 week to arrange an inspection of the building’s bin and chute rooms and provide recommendations to improve recycling and reduce waste.

    This service doesn’t cover service issues such as collections or bulky waste. You can report service issues online or contact customer service on 02 9265 9333 or council@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

  • Purpose of collection: Establish apartment buildings interested in participating in the Recycle Helper Service for apartment buildings.

    Intended recipients: City of Sydney employees and contractors completing work for the City of Sydney’s Recycle Helper Service for apartment buildings.

    Supply: The supply of this information is voluntary. If you are unwilling to provide this information, it may affect your eligibility to participate in the service.

    Access/Correction: Please contact customer service on 02 9265 9333 or at council@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au to access or correct your personal information.

    Storage: Cleansing and Waste Services at the City of Sydney, 456 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000, is collecting this information and the City of Sydney will store it securely. Responses are collected on a third-party service called JotForm (terms of service, privacy statement). Information is also stored securely on the City of Sydney’s record management system TRIM.

    Other uses: The City of Sydney will use your personal information for the purpose for which it was collected and may use it as is necessary for the exercise of other functions.
