    Under Section 125 and 126 of the Roads Act 1993 and Section103 of the Crown Lands Act 1989 and Section 46 of the Local Government Act 1993
  • Who’s eligible to apply:

    • Cultural venues, theatres, music venues, galleries.

    • Community centres and arts education facilities.

    • Businesses that regularly hold events but are not classified as food and drink premises.

  • Show us your site plan

  • Your site plan should be on A4-sized paper at an appropriate scale (1:100, 1:150 or 1:200). It should show the:

    • name and address of your premises and the neighbouring businesses

    • name and position of the nearest cross streets

    • position of the side boundaries of your premises

    • width of the building frontage of your premises

    • location of building edges

    • location of the kerb

    • location of entrances, doors and public infrastructure such as bus stops, trees and street furniture

    • position and dimensions of the proposed outdoor foyer area

    • width of the footpath to the building edge

    • clearances between the outdoor foyer area and the kerb

    • location of equipment such as umbrellas, heaters, and the like total area for outdoor dining in square metres.

    Plan of management

    Your plan of management should include:

    • details of your venue and the nature of the public events you host

    • proposed use of the outdoor foyer area, for example, queuing, ticket collection, ticket checking, and mid-show interval gathering

    • proposed days and hours of operation

    • proposed patron capacity of the outdoor foyer

    • whether alcohol will be served or consumed in the area

    • whether furniture will be placed in the area, and if so, details of that furniture

    • your plan to set-up and pack-up any furniture or items placed outside

    • your plan to monitor the area to ensure it is used by patrons only

    • your plan to monitor patron noise and any amenity impacts on surrounding properties
